Synopsis
Bob Miller, a water filtration engineer, has been hired to update the 50-year-old water system of Los Angeles. Susan Miller, a nurse, tells her husband about senior citizens at the hospital who seem to be suffering from food contamination, though the source cannot be found. Bob's hunch to test the city's water proves to be right when he discovers a new resistant strain of parasite. Even though the city is suffering from a heat wave, the mayor is forced to shut off the water supply, leading to riots. With the city quarantined and son Bobby Jr. showing signs of infection, Bob races to clean the city's water and save lives.
