Synopsis

Dotty, an agoraphobe, must confront her fear of leaving the house after the ghost of her recently deceased husband, Hiram, reminds her of a promise she made to scatter his ashes in a nearby canyon. Dotty hasn't left the house in twenty years, so when her daughters Molly and Taylor discover that she is missing, they panic. They eventually find her in the desert headed for Cathedral Rocks, but Dotty insists on completing her mission. Together the three women journey into the canyon, where Molly and Taylor talk for the first time about the pain and embarrassment Dotty's condition has caused them. The adventure helps cure Dotty of her fears, but also brings the family back together after years of unspoken anguish.
