Biography
Biography
Stout Native-American actress known for her portrayal of Marilyn Whirlwind on the series "Northern Exposure." Miles, who is one-half Cayuse and one-half Nez Perce, began her acting career after her mother auditioned for the part of Marilyn, and the producers felt that her daughter would better suit the role. Miles' ability to convey emotions without having to say much serves as a change of pace on a show where being verbal is being seen.
