Synopsis
Documentary on Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the fight for women's suffrage. Elizabeth Cady Stanton was the daughter of a wealthy attorney and former Revolutionary War hero. She married and had seven children. Susan B. Anthony was from a disciplined Quaker background and chose never to marry. Despite their differences, the two women worked together throughout the latter half of the 19th century to better the lives of women. They shattered the social, cultural and legal inequalities that had for centuries shackled women and ultimately set in motion the movement that won women the right to vote.
