Using the hype surrounding the finale of "Seinfeld" as a launchpad, Norman Jewison explores the annals of comedy with a focus on its evolution and impact on society. From early radio shows to the slapstick humor of Milton Berle in the 1950s to the edgier comedy of Lenny Bruce and fellow "sick" comedians that emerged in the 1960s, Jewison shows that although comedy itself has changed over the years, the interest in the profits it brings has remained constant.
