Synopsis

Television movie based on the true story of one mother's quest for justice when her son is hit by a young drunk driver, and how she and her family emerge from the ordeal.

Early one morning, Terry Stone and her husband Geoff are notified that their college-age son Andrew has sustained critical injuries in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. The attending physician informs them that Andrew remains in a coma with a multitude of injuries to his brain. Against the odds, Andrew survives and begins a slow, painful rehabilitation in which his lifelong ambitions must be re-evaluated. His sunny disposition aids his recovery, but is a stark contrast to his mother, Terry, who harbors anger and resentment toward the guilty party, an intoxicated rich playboy, who she wants to see jailed for all the misery he has caused.
