Synopsis
A drama, adapted from a story by Graham Greene, about the friendship between a priest and a communist mayor. The two journey together from their village of El Toboso, Spain, to Madrid, both being on holiday. On the way to Madrid and back, they debate their totally opposite beliefs. Hectic encounters with the police, car mishaps, a kidnapping, a first-time visit to a movie and a house of ill-repute open Quixote's eyes to the world. By the end of the journey, the two men have attained a mutual understanding and a love transcending death. A presentation of "Masterpiece Theatre."
