Synopsis

A trilogy of stories that depict ordinary people overcoming extraordinary problems with the strength of their love for each other. In "A Love Song For a Champ," an up-and-coming boxer breaks the rules in order to earn much-needed money for his family. Though his money-making scheme does not go as planned, his efforts pay off in the end. In "A Love Song For Jean and Ellis," a high-society woman doesn't give the working-class man who is pursuing her a second glance until he comes to her rescue after a violent attack. The experience brings the two together in a way the man had always dreamed. "A Love Song For Dad" is the story of a father who teaches his son that violence is the last resort when it comes to protecting an in-law involved in a physically abusive marriage.
