Synopsis
When hard times fall upon 14-year-old Connor's family, his father joins the Merchant Marines. During this time, Connor's grandmother dies and Connor is forced to sell his beloved horse, Flash. In order to be close to Flash, Connor gets a job working as the new owner's stable boy. When Connor sees how the new owner abuses the horse, he flees the stable with Flash and begins a dangerous journey from Atlanta to New York City in search of his father.
