Synopsis
In the fantastic world of Faerie, the King performs a feat of magic that conjures life into his own shadow. For a time all is well as the Shadow becomes the King's friend and constant companion. But, through a tragic miscalculation of magic, the Shadow's power proceeds to grow while the King's strength begins to weaken. Soon the Shadow, now turned evil, forms an alliance with the evil creatures of the realm and begins to take control of Faerieland. When it is learned that faerie fate decrees that only a mortal can save the kingdom, Oisin, a young hunter, is captured by the faeries and put under an enchanted spell by Princess Niamh, the King's beautiful daughter. The story follows Oisin's efforts, assisted by Puck, a fun-loving, shape-shifting Pixie, to find and destroy the Shadow.
