Synopsis
The pilot, set in 1968 at the height of the Vietnam War, follows the adventures of Rick Michaels, a talent agent, Myron Kowalski, an accountant, Carmine Pompinece, a mechanic, and Billy Henderson, a college dropout. The four are Army reservists who are called up and assigned to combat training as part of the 416th Medical Detachment-Supply Distribution Team -- the U.S. Army's smallest and most confused unit, composed of only six members with no knowlege of what the unit is supposed to do or how it is supposed to do it.
