Synopsis
Young Algerian mother Zouina, the wife of laborer Ahmed, tries to cope living in northern France during the 1970's. While her husband keeps her virtually under house arrest, Zouina manages to take back moments of freedom, running errands in the neighborhood and sneaking out with her children on Sundays.
