Synopsis
A mother tries to rescue her children from the hands of a psychotic killer during a citywide blackout. One evening, Kathy Robbins, with her young son in tow, agrees to drive her teenage daughter, Blair, to Donaldsons department store at the local mall. On the way to the mall, they stop off at the post office and encounter an unsettling young man, Erik, who is overly attentive to Blair. Erik overhears that Blair is on her way to the mall and follows her there. Blair meets up with her school friends and finds that Erik is there, too. He seductively flirts with her but his actions make Blair uncomfortable. Shortly after meeting her mother at Donaldsons, the store is thrown under a blanket of darkness -- the result of a massive citywide blackout. Blair is unaware that Erik is roaming the store as part of his murderous plan to capture both of Kathy's children in a twisted attempt to seek revenge on his own overbearing mother.
