Synopsis
Set in the 17th century, a psychological drama centering on the young, hotheaded Prince of Homburg who commanded the German calvary during the Thirty Year War against the Swedes; and who eventually defeated the Swedish invaders on the field in a daring attack, but in doing so, had disobeyed orders from his commander and mentor, the Grand Elector of Brandenburg. Regardless of the Prince's necessary and victorious role in defeating the Swedes, he's forced to suffer the consequences for defying order.
