Andrea Di Stefano's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of his Hollywood career. Di Stefano's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as the adaptation "The Phantom of the Opera" (1998) with Julian Sands, "The Citizen" (1999) and the crime thriller "Almost Blue" (2000) with Lorenza Indovina. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Before Night Falls" (2000) with Javier Bardem and "Angela" (2002). He also appeared in the TV movie "Vendetta" (HBO, 1998-99). His film career continued throughout the early 2000s in productions like "Hotel" (2003) with Rhys Ifans, the dramatic adaptation "The Prince of Homburg" (2003) with Barbora Bobulova and "Il Vestito da sposa" (2004). He also appeared in the Toni Bertorelli foreign "A luci spente" (2005) and "Contronatura" (2005). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Cuore Sacro" (2005), "Ne Te Retourne Pas" (2009) with Monica Bellucci and the Daniel Day-Lewis dramatic adaptation "Nine" (2009). He also appeared in "Eat Pray Love" (2010) and the Suraj Sharma box office smash dramatic adaptation "Life of Pi" (2012). Most recently, Di Stefano directed the Benicio Del Toro crime drama "Escobar: Paradise Lost" (2015).
