Synopsis
Frank Jacobs is the co-owner of the Middle o' America Motel and Petting Zoo, located plumb where the name says, in the geographical center of the USA. There's nothing else around it (except the USA), but that doesn't stop Frank from dreaming of making it big as a country-western singer and songwriter. Of course, it would be nice if his wife Helen liked him as much as Marguerite, the bartender at the honky tonk down the road where he tries out his act- and where, one fateful evening, his jaw drops at witnessing the talent and pulchritude of Miss Julie Mitchell. Julie's a real singer, but she's also at the mercy of her lizard of a manager, Roy. Frank'd be a fool to get mixed up with her. He gets mixed up with her, and pretty soon things get out of hand, and corpses begin to accumulate in the big blank plain that is the motel's backyard.
