Biography
Andrew Stevens is an entertainment professional who has done it all, from acting and producing to writing and directing. Actress Stella Stevens was his mother, and he got a foot in the door early on, in the film "The Courtship of Eddie's Father." Eventually Stevens landed larger roles without his mother's help, in TV series "The Oregon Trail" and "Dallas," and the films "The Fury," "Massacre at Central High," and "The Boys in Company C," earning a Golden Globe nomination for the latter. Stevens has directed and written many low-budget films, such as "The Terror Within II," "Night Eyes Three," and "Breaking the Press." Shifting his focus to production, Stevens served as President/CEO of Franchise Pictures, producing films for Warner Bros. After this arrangement fell through, he created the company Andrew Stevens Entertainment. In all, Stevens has produced over 100 films, and even though he has made a number of low-budget movies, he still has an impressive number of production credits that earned wide studio theatrical release. Some of these include "The Big Kahuna," starring Kevin Spacey and Danny DeVito; "3000 Miles to Graceland," starring Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner; and "Heist," starring Gene Hackman.
