Synopsis

From the very beginning, Lloyd Christmas knew he had a friend for life in Harry Dunne. It's the first day of high school and Harry, who previously has been home schooled by his mother, needs someone to show him the ropes. Lloyd, who conveniently lives in the school's basement with his adoptive dad/school custodian Ray, turns out to be just the guy. As the two set out to crack the "big show" (aka high school), they unwittingly fall into the web of the corrupt Principal Collins and his girlfriend, head lunch lady Ms. Heller, who want them to be the first students in a phony "special needs" class in order to bilk $100,000 in grant money for themselves. As Harry and Lloyd enthusiastically venture out to recruit more students for this new class, they unwittingly catch the attention of the beautiful Jessica Matthews, a hard-hitting reporter for the school's newspaper, who suspects foul play.
