Synopsis
A dark look at New York's wholesale garment industry, where shady deals are made for a buck and ruthlessness is a prerequisite for career success. A young woman, Grindy Malone, moves to New York City and gets her big break, the chance to work at fashion house Poncho Ramirez, Inc. But the formerly high-flying company from the 70s is now near bankruptcy. Desperate to revive its reputation, the company merges with a rival and announces a new line of jeans which are surprisingly successful. But, in their desperate reach for crucial quarterly numbers, the company's executives suddenly find themselves with an unexpected shortage of denim inventory. And the once innocent Grindy now schemes along with company insiders to protect the millions of dollars at stake. Lying, counterfeiting, backstabbing and foul play reveal a world of greed and power where some people get what's coming to them and others don't.
