Synopsis
Sue has a psychological disorder that is slipping beyond control. She can't pay her rent, drinks heavily, can't sleep, and is too damaged to respond to gestures of friendship. Instead of reaching out to those who offer help, she prefers the likes of the "accidental" people in her life -- like Lola who visits her between robbing banks and video stores or the random men with whom she has casual sex. When Ben, a journalist she meets in a coffee shop, tells her he loves her and her institutionalized mother shows up out of the blue, Sue completely loses what is left of her depleting sanity.
