Synopsis
Set in the winter of 1838, a romantic tale of a poor Swiss governess who meets secretly with an English landowner to conceive a child in exchange for money. Seven years later, the two are drawn together again when the governess is hired to care for the landowner's young daughter. Sworn to secrecy, the governess must now hide her passionate feelings for the man she loves and the child she brought into the world.
