John Flanagan was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. To break into the world of acting, Flanagan held roles in films like "The Medusa Touch" (1978) starring Richard Burton, the Jonathan Pryce film "Brazil" (1985) and "Arthur's Hallowed Ground" (1986) starring Jimmy Jewel. He had an early role on the television special "The Double Kill" (ABC, 1974-75). He also appeared in the TV special "Sleepers" (PBS, 1991-92). He also starred in the TV movies "Fergie and Andrew: Behind Closed Doors" (NBC, 1992-93) and "Doomsday Gun" (HBO, 1993-94). During these years, he additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in the Glenda Jackson drama "Business As Usual" (1988). In his more recent career, he tackled roles on "Nash Bridges" (CBS, 1995-2001) and "Trauma" (NBC, 2009-2010). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "G.I. Joe: The Ernie Pyle Story" (PBS, 1997-98). He also appeared in "Firelight" (1998). Most recently, Flanagan acted on "Endeavour" (PBS, 2012).
