Synopsis
School is out for the summer and Claude and her best friend Ellen hang out as they have for years. Soon Ellen starts dating Mark, leaving Claude feeling left out and alone until a new neighbor, Luke, moves into her building. Claude forms an immediate bond with Luke, who seems to recognize her intense feelings for Ellen before she fully understands them herself. When someone in their tightly knit neighborhood is murdered, subverted fears and homophobia become a reality as the kids are revealed for who they are, or rather, the kind of people they are growing up to be.
