Trivia
Charlton Heston later became president of the National Rifle Association.
There was a later version released that had footage not shown in theaters. In the original version, the snipers motives were not known. In the later version, it was revealed that the attack was done to cover an art robbery next door.
Spoler: In the original version, David Janssen's character is killed just as he comes back into the stadium. In the later version, he leaves the stadium just before the sniper starts shooting.
