After the Vietnam War, Rick Rescorla, one of the soldiers profiled in Moore and Galloway's book, was awarded the Silver Star for his bravery and leadership. In a tragic twist of fate, Recorla went on to become head of security at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and was killed during the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
