Stir of Echoes

1h 50m 1999

Brief Synopsis

The story of a simple man, a typical husband and father, who finds himself transformed by irrefutable evidence that supernatural forces beyond his understanding really do exist: Tom Witzky is a quiet regular guy who suddenly finds his blue-collar Chicago lifestyle derailed by the power to foretell the future after his sister-in-law uses hypnotherapy on him at a neighborhood party. What started as a diversion turns disturbing as a post-hypnotic suggestion releases a subconscious power Tom didn't even know he possessed. Over time, Tom becomes obsessed with the notion that there is a presence living in the house. The force entangles him, bringing him face-to-face with a horrible crime mystery when he sees a vision of a murdered woman who is haunting his house. Plagued by searing headaches and horrific visions he fears that his family is in grave danger and forces himself to seek out the source of the visions--no matter the cost.
