Synopsis
A movie examining parental abuse -- the abuse of older parents by their grown children. Georgia Benfield is a woman caught in the middle of a wrenching personal and financial crisis, and is forced to support her family when her husband leaves her for another woman. Her strength is further tested when her mother, Charlotte Kessling, begins to show painful signs of senility.
Charlotte is visited by some old friends, who are shocked when she shows them bruises and insists that Georgia has been physically beating her. Georgia insists that the bruises were the result of an accident, and that the accusations are merely further evidence of her mother's confused state. But as the accusations mount, even Georgia's children are unsure of who is being truthful, and finally the situation erupts into a harrowing confrontation between mother and daughter that forces each to deal with painful memories and emotions from their past.
