Biography
John Indrisano was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Indrisano landed roles in various films, including "Every Day's a Holiday" (1938), the Leo Gorcey comedy "In Fast Company" (1946) and the comedy "Mr. Hex" (1946) with Leo Gorcey. He also appeared in the John Garfield sports "Body and Soul" (1947), "Force of Evil" (1948) with John Garfield and the Barbara Stanwyck drama "The Lady Gambles" (1949). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the John Wayne adaptation "The Sea Chase" (1955), the Brian Keith crime picture "Chicago Confidential" (1957) and the Elvis Presley musical "Jailhouse Rock" (1957). He also appeared in "Ten North Frederick" (1958) with Gary Cooper. Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in the comedy "For Love or Money" (1963) with Kirk Douglas, "Under the Yum Yum Tree" (1963) and "A House Is Not a Home" (1964). He also appeared in the comedic adaptation "Barefoot in the Park" (1967) with Robert Redford. Indrisano last appeared in "The Smugglers" (NBC, 1968-69). Indrisano passed away in July 1968 at the age of 63.
