Biography
Richard Howard was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Howard landed roles in various films, including the historical film "The Vanishing American" (1925) with Richard Dix, the western "Desert Gold" (1926) with Neil Hamilton and the western "Cyclone of the Range" (1927) with Tom Tyler. He also appeared in the comedy adaptation "Oh! What A Lovely War" (1969) with Ralph Richardson. He also appeared in the TV special "To Play the King" (PBS, 1993-94). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Tragedy of Flight 103: The Inside Story" (HBO, 1990-91). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Agatha Christie's Poirot" (PBS, 1988-2013). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "David Copperfield" (PBS, 1999-2000) and "Oliver Twist" (PBS, 2000-01). Most recently, Howard appeared in "Love in a Cold Climate" (2001-02).
