Biography
Actor Bob Hopkins was known for his roles on the silver screen. Hopkins's earliest roles were in film, including "The Lucky Stiff" (1949), the Jane Wyman musical comedy "Let's Do It Again" (1953) and the Dan Dailey dramatic sports film "The Kid From Left Field" (1953). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "I'll Cry Tomorrow" (1955) with Susan Hayward and the crime drama "Tight Spot" (1955) with Ginger Rogers. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the drama "Autumn Leaves" (1956) with Joan Crawford, "Jeanne Eagels" (1957) with Kim Novak and the Lee J. Cobb crime picture "The Garment Jungle" (1957). He also appeared in "Underworld, U.S.A." (1961). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The Twilight Zone" (CBS, 1959-1964). He also was featured in the TV movies "Once Upon a Spy" (ABC, 1980-81) and "Stark" (CBS, 1984-85). Hopkins more recently acted in the comedy sequel "Major League II" (1994) with Charlie Sheen.
