Actor Ted Hecht appeared in many heart-racing action films over the course of his Hollywood career. Hecht's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the drama "Lady From Chungking" (1942) with Anna May Wong, "Time to Kill" (1942) with Lloyd Nolan and the Otto Kruger action flick "Corregidor" (1943). He also appeared in the Claudette Colbert drama "So Proudly We Hail" (1943) and the mystery "Danger Woman" (1946) with Don Porter. He kept working in film throughout the forties, starring in "Just Before Dawn" (1946) with Warner Baxter, "Spoilers of the North" (1947) and the Johnny Weissmuller adventure "Tarzan and the Huntress" (1947). He also appeared in the adventure "Song of India" (1949) with Sabu and "The Wolf Hunters" (1949). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Killer Shark" (1950), the action picture "Desert Legion" (1953) with Alan Ladd and the dramatic adventure "Istanbul" (1957) with Errol Flynn. Hecht was most recently credited in "The American Dream" (ABC, 1980-81). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Rocky Jones, Space Ranger" (1953-54). Hecht passed away in June 1969 at the age of 61.
