Biography
Hungarian-born Mickey Hargitay was an accomplished actor who appeared in many Hollywood films throughout his career. With roles in "Holiday in Las Vegas" (1957-58), the crime drama "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" (1957) with Richard Egan and the comedic adaptation "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" (1957) with Jayne Mansfield, Hargitay began his career. He then tackled roles in "Promises, Promises" (1964), the Laszlo Szabo comedy "Mr. Universe" (1987) and "Sons of Hercules" (1998) with Richard Harrison. He also appeared in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1999-) and "The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield" (2001). Hargitay also acted in "Delirium." Hargitay was married to Ellen Siano and had four children. Mickey Hargitay passed away in September 2006 at the age of 80.
