Bert Hanlon was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Hanlon began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "Me and My Gal" (1932) with Spencer Tracy, "Society Girl" (1932) and the Myrna Loy drama "Wings in the Dark" (1935). He kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in the Bing Crosby comedy "Double or Nothing" (1937), "Park Avenue Logger" (1937) and the James Cagney comedy adaptation "Boy Meets Girl" (1938). He also appeared in the comedy "The Amazing Dr. Clitterhouse" (1938) with Edward G Robinson. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Sweepstakes Winner" (1939), "Coney Island" (1943) with Betty Grable and "Lady of Burlesque" (1943) with Barbara Stanwyck. Hanlon last acted in "Force of Evil" (1948). Hanlon passed away in January 1972 at the age of 82.
