Biography

David Ashton's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of his Hollywood career. Ashton worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Celia" (1989) starring Rebecca Smart, "Duck" (1989) and "Eye of the Needle" with Donald Sutherland (1981). He also contributed to "From a Bird's Eye View" (NBC, 1970-71). He continued to act in productions like the Jason Flemyng drama "Alive & Kicking" (1997) and the Pierce Brosnan box office smash action movie "Tomorrow Never Dies" (1997). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Monarch of the Glen" (BBC Scotland, 1999-2006). He also lent his voice to the Ben Kingsley action film "Freddie as F.R.O.7" (1992). More recently, he continued to act in "Stiff Upper Lips" (1999) and the dramatic adaptation "The House of Mirth" (2000) with Gillian Anderson. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Glasgow Kiss" (BBC, 2000-01). He also was featured in the TV movie "Dominick Dunne Presents: Murder in Greenwich" (USA, 2002-03).
