Art Farmer was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Farmer kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "I Want to Live!" (1958) and the dramatic adaptation "The Subterraneans" (1960) with Leslie Caron. He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Jacksonville Jazz Festival VI" (PBS, 1985-86) and "Jazz at Lincoln Center With Wynton Marsalis" (PBS, 1993-94). Farmer more recently appeared on the Art Blakey documentary "A Great Day in Harlem" (1995). Farmer passed away in October 1999 at the age of 71.
