Academy Award winner Brian Easdale was recognized throughout Hollywood for his amazing work as a musician. Easdale began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the drama "Black Narcissus" (1947) with Deborah Kerr, "Outcast of the Islands" (1951) with Ralph Richardson and "Gone to Earth" (1952) with Jennifer Jones. Easdale won an Academy Award for "The Red Shoes" in 1948He followed this honor with songs in the mystery adaptation "The Green Scarf" (1954) with Michael Redgrave, "The Pursuit of the Graf Spee" (1956) and "Peeping Tom" (1960). He also appeared in the Raymond Massey drama "The Queen's Guards" (1963). Easdale's music was most recently used in "Searching for Debra Winger" (Showtime, 2002-03). Easdale passed away in October 1995 at the age of 86.
