Biography

An English composer, David Arnold is best known for scoring several James Bond films and the sketch comedy series "Little Britain." Arnold met director Danny Cannon while still a student in Luton, and eventually created the music for Cannon's short films. They went on to collaborate on the feature film "The Young Americans" in 1993. The next year, he scored the sci-film "Stargate," and later would work on the TV version, "Stargate SG-1." His association with the James Bond series began with the 1997 film "Tomorrow Never Dies," after legendary composer John Barry recommended him. He went on to score four other Bond films, earning a BAFTA for his work on "Casino Royale" in 2006. His TV work includes composing music for both the original "Little Britain" and "Little Britain USA," as well as making acting cameos on the show. He also provided music for the 2010 television remake "Sherlock," the fantasy film "Chronicles of Narnia: Thee Voyage of the Dawn Treader," and the Rachel McAdams romantic comedy, "Morning Glory."
