Brendan Dillon was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Dillon began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the James Mason action film "Hero's Island" (1962), the Debbie Reynolds comedy adaptation "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" (1964) and "The Killing of Sister George" (1968) with Beryl Reid. He also appeared in the dramatic period piece "The Molly Maguires" (1970) with Richard Harris. He also appeared in the TV movie "The Hound of the Baskervilles" (ABC, 1971-72). Dillon worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "All in the Family" (CBS, 1970-79). He also landed a role in the miniseries "The Picture of Dorian Gray" (1972-73). He also starred in the TV movies "The Dead Don't Die" (1974-75), "Young Pioneers" (ABC, 1975) and "The 3,000 Mile Chase" (NBC, 1976-77). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "The Island at the Top of the World" (1974) with David Hartman and the Bradford Dillman sci-fi picture "Bug" (1975). He held additional roles in television including a part on "The Young Pioneers" (ABC, 1977-78). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "Backstairs at the White House" (1978-79). Most recently, Dillon worked on "In Search of Mike" (2000).
