Biography
David DeVries was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. DeVries's early roles were in comedies like "Livin' Large" (1991) with Lisa Arrindell Anderson. He also starred in the TV movies "A Time to Triumph" (CBS, 1985-86) and "Mayflower Madam" (CBS, 1987-88). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Secret Passion of Robert Clayton" (USA, 1991-92). He next focused his entertainment career on film, appearing in the Robert John Burke action movie "Robocop 3" (1993) and the Denzel Washington blockbuster sports drama "Remember the Titans" (2000). DeVries was nominated for an Outstanding Non-Fiction Special (Informational) (Area Award: Possibility of One, More Than One or No Award Primetime Emmy Award for "Egypt: Beyond the Pyramids" in 2001. DeVries also held acting roles in films like "Leatherheads" (2008) with George Clooney and "Kill the Messenger" (2014) with Jeremy Renner. DeVries most recently acted in the drama "Lila and Eve" (2015) with Viola Davis.
