D'Amboise mainly acted in films like the Donovan Leitch music "The In Crowd" (1988) during the early stages of her career. Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Lost in the Bermuda Triangle" (1998-99). Following that project, she worked on the Peter MacNicol comedy "American Blue Note" (1991), the drama "Just Off the Coast" (1992) with William Converse-Roberts and "The Preacher's Wife" (1996) with Denzel Washington. She also appeared in "Every Little Step" (2009). She also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Law & Order" (1990-2010).
