Biography
Laura Leigh Hughes was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. She had an early role on the television special "Under the Biltmore Clock" (PBS, 1984-85). Hughes worked in television around the start of her acting career with a role on "Wings" (1989-1997). She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "The Betty Ford Story" (1986-87), "Daddy" (ABC, 1986-87) and "A Hobo's Christmas" (CBS, 1987). She also appeared in "Summer Dreams: The Story of the Beach Boys" (ABC, 1989-1990). Several more television roles followed in the nineties and the early 2000s, including stints on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-) and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (CBS, 2000-2015). She also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the action movie "Virtuosity" (1995) with Denzel Washington. In her more recent career, she tackled roles on "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-2012) and "Bones" (Fox, 2005-). She also was featured in the TV movie "Plain Truth" (Lifetime, 2004-05). Most recently, Hughes acted on "Rizzoli & Isles" (TNT, 2009-16).
