Biography

Tony Alcantar was a big screen film actor known for powerful performances. Alcantar started his entertainment career by acting in comedies like "Butterscotch and Chocolate" (1992) with Rickey Hendon, "Best in Show" (2000) with Christopher Guest and Parker Posey and the Jane Sowerby film "MVP 2: Most Vertical Primate" (2002). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Millennium" (Fox, 1996-99). In the early 2000s, Alcantar devoted his time to various credits, such as the Ioan Gruffudd and Jessica Alba box office smash "Fantastic Four" (2005), "The Deal" (2005) starring Christian Slater and "Slither" (2006) starring Michael Rooker. He also worked on "The Wicker Man" (2006). In his more recent career, he continued to act in the John Cusack dramatic adaptation "Martian Child" (2007), the comedy "Numb" (2008) with Matthew Perry and the Charlize Theron period drama "Battle in Seattle" (2008). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Once Upon a Time" (ABC, 2011-). Most recently, Alcantar acted in "Big Eyes" (2014) with Amy Adams.
