Biography
Kent Staines was a talented actor who starred in a number of television shows. His acting career began with roles in the series "PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal" (1996-2001), "La Femme Nikita" (USA, 1996-2001) and "Gene Roddenberry's "Earth: Final Conflict"" (1997-2002). He also starred in the TV movies "Keeping the Promise" (CBS, 1996-97) and "Face Down" (The Movie Channel, 1997-98). In the beginning of his Hollywood career, Staines acted in films like "Too Outrageous!" (1987) with Craig Russell. He continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "Queer as Folk (US)" (2000-05) and "Odyssey 5" (2002-03). He also appeared in the TV special "Isabel, Jewel of Castilla" (HBO, 2000-01). Later, he earned a role in the action picture "New York Minute" (2004) with Ashley Olsen. In his more recent career, he tackled roles on "The Dresden Files" (2006-07), "Flashpoint" (Bell Media, 2007-2013) and "The Bridge" (CBS, 2009-2010). He also appeared in "Covert Affairs" (USA, 2009-2014). Staines most recently acted on "King" (Reelz Channel, 2012-14).
