Biography

Actress Bianca Lawson is best known for her television work, both on hit shows and commercials. Born in Los Angeles (her father is actor Richard Lawson), one of Lawson's first television acting roles was on "Saved by the Bell: The New Class," playing the character Megan Jones from 1993 through 1994. From there, she landed two more extended roles, on "Sister, Sister" and "Goode Behavior," the latter of which supposedly got in the way of her landing the role of Cordelia Chase on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (although she would appear on the show for a short stint, as a lesser character). Further stints on television ("Dawson's Creek," "The Secret Life of the American Teenager") and in movies ("Big Monster on Campus," "Pledge This!") followed--including winning a Teen Choice Award for the 2001 film "Save the Last Dance" (for "Choice Fight Scene," with Julia Stiles). Soon after, Lawson landed two more extended television roles, "Pretty Little Liars" (as Maya St. Germain) and "The Vampire Diaries" (as Emily Bennett).
