Biography
Remembered fondly for his role as Elizabeth Perkins and Jeff Goldblum's son in the 2001 blockbuster "Dogs & Cats," blond child actor Alexander Pollock began appearing in films and television when he was barely old enough to read. His film debut was a bit part in the 1996 comedy "Big Bully" starring Tom Arnold and Rick Moranis, but the young actor quickly moved on to featured roles, playing Robert Urich's son in the 1996 drama "The Angel of Pennsylvania Avenue," followed by a supporting role in the 1997 thriller "The Stepsister." Through the late 1990s, Pollock worked steadily in TV movies such as "Northern Lights," "Cloned," and "You Know My Name," and series like "The Outer Limits" and "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven." A part in the Jean-Claude Van Damme feature "Replicant" came in 2001, followed by Pollock's breakout role in the family favorite "Dogs & Cats." In 2002, the Vancouver native once again found himself cast in a family comedy when he played Richie in "The Santa Clause 2," the sequel to Tim Allen's 1994 holiday classic "The Santa Clause," and the following year he snared a role in the TV adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's young adult classic "A Wrinkle in Time."
