Armida was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Armida began her acting career with roles in such films as "General Crack" (1929), the Frank Fay musical "The Show of Shows" (1929) and "On the Border" (1930). She also appeared in the William Haines war "The Marines Are Coming" (1934). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties and the forties, appearing in "Rootin' Tootin' Rhythm" (1937), the drama "Always in My Heart" (1942) with Kay Francis and "The Girl From Monterey" (1943). In the latter part of her career, she continued to act in "Machine Gun Mama" (1944), "South of the Rio Grande" (1945) and "Jungle Goddess" (1948) with George Reeves. Armida last acted in the western "The Gay Amigo" (1949) with Duncan Renaldo. Armida passed away in October 1989 at the age of 78.
