Biography
John Cater was widely known for his acting on the big screen. Cater began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the comedy adaptation "Loot" (1970) with Richard Attenborough, the horror sequel "Doctor Phibes Rises Again" (1972) with Vincent Price and "Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter" (1972) with Horst Janson. He also appeared in "Rising Damp" (1980). He also appeared in the TV movie "The House on Garibaldi Street" (ABC, 1978-79). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Midnight Movie" (1994). He also starred in the TV movies "Still Crazy Like a Fox" (CBS, 1986-87) and "Prisoner of Honor" (HBO, 1991-92). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Bramwell IV" (PBS, 1998-99). Most recently, Cater acted in the comedy "Alien Autopsy" (2006) with Anthony McPartlin.
