Biography
Actor John Cairney appeared in a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Cairney's career beginnings included film roles in the comedy "Lucky Jim" (1957) with Ian Carmichael, "A Night to Remember" (1958) with Kenneth More and "Night Ambush" (1958). Later, he acted in "Windom's Way" (1958) with Peter Finch, the action movie "Shake Hands With the Devil" (1959) with James Cagney and "Victim" (1961) with Dirk Bogarde. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Cleopatra" (1963) with Elizabeth Taylor and "Jason and the Argonauts" (1963). Later in his career, Cairney appeared in "Henry IV, Part One" (PBS, 1979-1980).
