Zola made film his next project, appearing in the Burt Lancaster action picture "The Train" (1965), "The Stranger" (1967) with Marcello Mastroianni and the Burt Lancaster drama "Conversation Piece" (1975). He also appeared in "Die Vertreibung aus dem Paradies" (1976) and "La Raison d'etat" (1978). Later in his career, Zola acted in the Keith Carradine drama "An Almost Perfect Affair" (1979).
