Biography
Scott Whitehurst was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Whitehurst's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as the dramatic biopic "Malcolm X" (1992) with Denzel Washington and "Because of You" (2000). He also appeared in the TV movie "Simple Justice" (PBS, 1992-93). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). Several more television roles followed in the early 2000s and the 2010s, including stints on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2001-2011), "Six Degrees" (ABC, 2006-07) and "The Good Wife" (CBS, 2009-2016). His career progressed to film, including a role in the comedy adaptation "I Love You Phillip Morris" (2010) with Jim Carrey. In his more recent career, he tackled roles on "Elementary" (CBS, 2012-) and "Madam Secretary" (CBS, 2014-). He also appeared in the Jason Segel comedy "Jeff Who Lives At Home" (2012). Most recently, Whitehurst worked on "Night Of The Wild" (Syfy, 2015-16).
